How Steve Bass Saved His Hard Drive and Turned It Into An Article

Steve Bass was having a hard drive problem. He started one article with this ominous line: “The hard drive on my mother’s PC was a goner. It just wouldn’t boot“. Steve usually leads into his articles in a less dramatic fashion. Nevertheless, four days later, Steve has saved his hard drive:

“…They had a toll-free number and even though it was late afternoon on a Saturday, I decided to call. I spoke with Dick Correa, the chief programmer at DTIData, who immediately diagnosed it as a BIOS problem. “I can absolutely tell from the error message,” he said. Once I reset the BIOS back to its default, a rebooted, the hard drive worked fine.”
