The IRS Will Not Email You

  • No Related Post

The IRS is not going to be emailing you. You will not be part of a special project to have your returns deposited into your bank account. The only people making this offer are the hackers and phishers who want your personal information. The IRS will send out a check:

“On Monday, the Internal Revenue Service told taxpayers when to expect those rebate checks, and it’s going to be based on Social Security numbers — not when you file your return.

Starting in May, tax rebate checks will be issued according to a schedule that’s based on the last two digits of your Social Security number.”

Tax time is also the beginning of a phishing cycle. Just remember that there are no special services that will speed your check from the IRS. And don’t give your social security number through email or by telephone.
