How Is This Not A Crime?

The girl is sixteen years old. The accused took pictures under the girl’s skirt. She was in a store. In Oklahoma, this is not a crime:
“TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A state appeals court says Oklahoma’s privacy law does not prohibit using a camera to look under a woman’s skirt.”
link: Court says law doesn’t prohibit cameras peering under skirts
How is this not a crime? - Let this happen to your girlfriend or your sister or your wife or your daughter - and then come back and say that this is not a crime. Let the judges’ own unauthorized intimate images be posted on the internet and be available around the planet within minutes - and then perhaps it will be a crime.

What - how can this be right! I’m sure if you punched this chap as a result of his actions that would not be considered an offence either.
To me this is a sign crime for something much worse - he will after all get his kicks from somewhere.

what a sad world we live in…maybe the Police should look into this guy’s background to make sure he isn’t harming children in other ways…
With their reasoning someone could be raped in a public place and the court would say “you don’t have expectation of privacy” what the hell!!
Idiots in our courts. Hell, I bet some of the judges are pedophiles themselves. After the past decade of various professions being tainted such as the priesthood why would judges be any different? Not saying this judge is but it is a sad commentary on the state of our system. The criminals have way too many rights and it’s about time our government do something about it…maybe the next President…don’t hold your breath.
Peace all…

If you live in Oklahoma I would be writting to every state rep known getting this law changed. Just how this is not a invasion of privacy is beyond me. Guess Oklahoma is still back in the days of the wild west when they didnt have cameras.

Everyone reading this knows that this offense is a crime. What everyone seems to be missing is that a “judge” has “reasoned” away the criminality of this act. This girl was victimized twice. Once by the offender and once by the judge.
This should be a wake up call as to what is occurring in our justice system. There are many judicial nominees that have received the highest rating from the bar association who are not getting their hearings (a simple up or down vote) for judicial appointments in the Democratically controlled Senate. The President has done something about it (nominations). The Senate has not.
