David Halberstam used the phrase ‘the best and the brightest’ for the title of one of his books. The phrase certainly is applicable to Eve Carson. In an inexplicable tragedy, Eve Carson, the student president of University of North Carolina, was slain in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
There are no words for this. It simply makes the heart hurt.
