By far, this story has generated the most email this year. Hundreds of people have written - and many saw the YouTube video before it was taken down:
“The United States Marine Corps is investigating one of its own after a disturbing video appeared on YouTube showing a Marine apparently throwing a puppy off a cliff in Iraq.”

Meanness to animals generates a huge amount of attention on the internet. And understandably the internet community is reacting. This incident will set the military public relations people in motion. If this incident is true, the public will demand accountability.
