Google Offers A Doodle Prize

You probably have seen the Google doodle and have been reminded that the day was a special occasion. The Google art work is now part of what the Internet community expects from Google. It has become part of the tradition of their logo. Now Google has opened up a competition for school children:

“…The winning student’s doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage on May 22, 2008; the champion “doodler” will also win a $10,000 college scholarship and a $25,000 technology grant for his/her school.

The “Doodle 4 Google” competition is open to U.S. students K-12.”

A tip of the cap to Google. It is clever, user friendly marketing at a truly ‘grassroots’ level.
