Firefox Malware Protection

One of the features of Firefox 3.0 is malware protection. With Firefox 3.0, the security protection prevents the dubious page from loading:

“…Officially dubbed Malware Protection, the tool warns users when they steer Firefox to sites that are known to install viruses, spyware, Trojan horses and other malicious code. When a user tries to reach a site on the banned list, a large red warning appears in lieu of the page…”

This effort is ambitious. In the past, efforts to check a suspected page from loading has had a detrimental impact on the browser speed. With such a feature smoothly integrated into a browser, the security would be greatly enhanced without third party products.
