Would the Phoenix Suns trade for Shaquille O’Neal? - The reports say that the Miami Heat have made Shaquille O’Neal available:

“…The Herald goes on to report that a trade of O’Neal to the Phoenix Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks has been discussed. One of O’Neal’s representatives told the newspaper that they were informed that talks with Phoenix were ongoing and serious.”

The Miami Heat franchise is mired in a dismal season. Shaquille O’Neal has been injured but the numbers have shown that his performance has been declining. Would having Steve Nash setting up easy baskets for Shaq extend his career? It has been suggested that there is another place that might provide Shaq with a familiar offense and personnel. And that would be the L.A Lakers, with an offense, a coach and some players with whom Shaq is very familiar. It would be so ironic. It would be so ‘Hollywood’.
