Andrew Bynum Out for Eight Weeks

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost their young center for eight weeks. A knee injury, which could have been much worse, will keep Andrew Bynum on the sidelines for two months - and perhaps longer. The Lakers have had an excellent start for the season, as they did last year. Injuries last season derailed their initial promise.

The last scheduled regular season game for the Lakers is April 15, 2008. A recovering Andrew Bynum may be back by then - and available for the post season, if the Lakers can maintain their pace and qualify for the playoffs.
