Problems in the Paint for the Phoenix Suns

On Saturday, December 22, the Phoenix Suns won their game against the Toronto Raptors. The score was 122-103. This was the game that Chris Bosh has a career high, scoring forty two (42) points. On Christmas Day, the Suns lost to the Los Angeles Lakers: 122-115. Andrew Bynum, the young center for the Lakers, had a career high, scoring twenty eight (28) points.

Obviously, the Phoenix Suns cannot be giving up career nights to opposing front line players.

The Phoenix defense, especially Amaré Stoudemire, is a concern. The Suns cannot afford to be giving up career scoring nights to opposing players. It might not catch up with the Suns during the regular season. However, it could mean another earlier-than-expected exit from post season play. And that’s going to annoy Steve Nash… immensely.

The Suns are such an explosive team and it killed me to watch that Christmas game against the Lakers - mainly because my son is such a huge Lakers/KB24 fan. He was sure rubbing it in. The Suns have so much talent but their bane seems to be the Spurs. For some reason (maybe it’s because the Spurs are just that good) the Suns always have problems with Tim Duncan and company.
