Another stolen laptop means another data breach:
“PITTSBURGH — The names, social security numbers, phone numbers, addresses and patient care information of 42,000 patients were all on a laptop computer stolen from a nurse’s home.”

The laptop was stolen on November 24th. Letters of notification were sent on December 15th. Presumably, some of the correspondence was received today for people to take action to guard their security - over three weeks after the incident.
Would anyone at the West Penn Allegheny Health System wait over three weeks if they happened to have their credit cards stolen? - Of course, they would not. However, that is the comparable predicament that they have placed forty two thousand (42,000) people.
