It’s probably a universally known factoid: Santa is associated with a red suit. However, it seems that this is disturbing to some and a change is needed:

“Father Christmas has been given a makeover - after one school decided his red suit was a symbol of “modern commercialism”.

The outfit would remind pupils of Coca-Cola adverts, according to the parents’ committee at the Steiner School in Brighton.”

One has to wonder what makes the color of Santa’s suit a focal point for someone. I have a red sweater that I wear often during the cold months of winter. Perhaps that will offend some people…
