With so many scams endangering your finances and ready to steal your personal information, it is difficult not to skeptical when a legitimate refund appears:
“Over the past few days, millions of Americans have received a letter telling them they may be eligible for a refund of at least $25 from their credit card companies.”

Even with this legitimate refund, it is necessary to proceed with caution and do some diligent checking. This also presents a prime opportunity for hackers to phish for information and to turn this into a social engineering scheme for their own gains.

I got the mailer, and nearly threw it away before the subject matter caught my eye. It’ll be nice to get the $25, but at the same time most people probably spent more, and deserve more. And unless you can document it, you won’t get much more. I used my credit cards a lot while traveling abroad, so it’s seems to fall a little short.
