Andrew Bynum: Growing Pains

There will be nights like this. Andrew Bynum has been fighting a stomach flu but he played in the away game against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers won the game: 111-107. However, what stands out in the box score are Andrew’s statistics: twenty six minutes playing time - two points - two rebounds - no free throws.

This just goes to show how someone, who is seven feet (2.13 metres) tall, can ‘disappear’. And it is an illustration of why coaching a young team can be agonizing. Nights like these must age Phil Jackson.
