Self Serve Dog Washes

It is the age of specialization - and perhaps this idea will be coming to a neighborhood near you and your dog. You might take your laundry to the laundromat and your automobile to the car wash. And now you might want to take your dog to the dog wash:
“…Like most self-service facilities, The Wash Dog offers several private rooms, each equipped with a standing-height stainless steel sink, a board that older or smaller dogs can use to enter and exit the sink and steps that younger dog washers can stand on. Aprons are available for those doing the washing.
The sink has a sprayer on a long hose, and a head restraint…”

Perhaps the dog will think of it as another adventure. With winter coming to the northern hemisphere, it is not as easy to take the dog to the back yard and do a cleaning. A dog wash facility might save time cleaning up in the house, if you are not an efficient dog washer. If that is indeed the case, the aftermath of cleaning the dog can be left at the dog wash.

Self-serve dog washes have been in my area for years now. They are awesome! Waist-high tubs, head restraints, aprons, all the warm water you could need, choice of shampoos & conditioners, brushes, towels, blow-dryers, ear cleaning pads. They charge by how big your dog is, and my Malamute is only $18. If you’ve EVER bathed a big dog in your home bathtub, you know what a bargain that is.
