PayPal Wants to Cover All e-Commerce Sites

PayPal is seeking business aggressively. There are internet sites that do not accept PayPal. Soon, that will not be a problem. A PayPal account holder will be able to do business with those sites that do not accept PayPal funds directly:

“…The new software utility, called the PayPal Secure Card, recognizes when a user lands on an e-commerce checkout page and automatically helps the user fill out the payment form in a secure way that also offers stepped-up fraud protections.”

This would mean that the added security for the purchaser. Credit card numbers would not be used in the transaction. The transaction would be handled through the existing PayPal account. Obviously, PayPal want to increase its number of transactions and have more people sign up for accounts. PayPal will be focusing on the security of their system. A critical breach would be an unmitigated disaster.
