Google wants code. Google is offering cash. And Google knows how to create a ‘buzz’:

“Google, hoping to gin up excitement among developers for its mobile-phone operating system, is offering $10 million in prizes to code writers to create applications for the new platform, known as Android.

Cash prizes will range from $25,000 to $275,000, the Mountain View company said today in a press release.”

This news release certainly has stirred interest among my friends who code. The Google offer is the predominant theme of my early morning email. Dare to dream of Google dollars. So, if any of my ‘coding pals’ should happen to earn large sums money from Google, I would like a t-shirt… a Google t-shirt, of course.
