Lamar Odom sustained a slight concussion as a result of an automobile accident:

Lamar Odom is recovering from a shoulder problem and surgery. He is not expected to be playing for weeks yet. The accident increases the instability of the Lakers. Lamar Odom, with his physical problems and recovery, is a questionable for trades. Other teams would be reluctant to take a player who might have problems passing a physical check. Lamar Odom’s slow return adds to the Kobe Bryant ‘will he go/will he stay’ drama.

The Kobe Bryant situation dominates any discussion concerning the Lakers. The next game is against the Phoenix Suns, a team that the Lakers will have difficulty defending. Another loss for the Lakers will add to the ’soap opera’. They play in Hollywood.
