The Yankees start their playoffs in Cleveland tonight and, undoubtedly, much of the focus will be on Alex Rodriguez. Even if you are not a Yankees fan, there is high theater in seeing if Alex Rodriguez can conquer the October demons.

The fortunes of the Yankees may be resting with the pitching of a rookie, Joba Chamberlain. Expectations may be high for Alex Rodriguez but there are also hopes riding on the young arm of Mr Chamberlain. Obviously, the Yankees are anticipating great performances from Mr Chamberlain but so are a small segment of the American population - the Native Americans. Mr Chamberlain is a Native American and Winnebago tribe will be following his every pitch.

It is tremendous pressure on a young twenty two year old. With a cap that looks like it has been pulled off the store shelf a few minutes ago, this young man from Nebraska resembles someone you would pass on the way to high school chemistry class. Instead, it is Cleveland; it is the pursuit of dreams; and it is drama.

I, for one, hope he does well…
