It’s soccer - and, before you click away to find something more interesting, know that the United States has a terrific team at the Women’s World Cup. They are competing in China, so ‘live’ telecasts of games are on television at terrible times. These women are good - and they are tough:

The top U.S. striker scored both goals Friday in a 2-0 victory over Sweden in the women’s World Cup. She now has three in two games, and the win puts the No. 1-ranked Americans in good position to make the quarterfinals.”

For these women, this tournament is their ‘World Series/Super Bowl/Stanley Cup’. They are competing at the highest level. It is unfortunate that there are not more people following these American women - they may be the best women’s soccer team in the world.
