The Detroit News is reporting another data breach at Pfizer, involving thirty four thousand (34,000) workers:
“…According to the Aug. 24 letter, a security breach may have caused employees’ names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, bank account numbers, credit card information, signatures and other personal information to be publicly exposed.”

The time line of this incident is noteworthy. The data breach supposedly occurred late in 2006. Pfizer became aware of the security breach on July 10. And notification of this compromised personal information was sent out on August 24. The Pfizer employees simply deserve better security.
