There are reports of Chinese hackers compromising German government computers. This is an issue that German Chancellor Merkel raised during her visit to Beijing. The Chinese response to these accusations has to rank high on the scale of unintentional comedy:
“Chinese premier Wen Jiabao described reports of Chinese hackers breaking into German computers as a matter of “grave concern” and said Monday that his country will cooperate with Germany to resolve the matter.”

Certainly this must fall into the ‘fox-hen house’ category. China will investigate the hacking. Of course, the Chinese government takes no responsibility for the hacking / security issues. And undoubtedly, the investigation will turn up a few radical dissidents who will be punished severely. Meanwhile, there must be a flurry of activity in China focused on how to improve their spyware.
