A Boost for Red Bull

In the executive and marketing offices of Red Bull, George Hotz must be a folk hero. George Hotz is the seventeen year old who unlocked the iPhone. It is not that the Red Bull people are so interested in Apple hacking. However, in this matter, George Hotz inadvertently gave the Red Bull product thousands - perhaps millions - of dollars of free publicity.
Here is an example for Forbes online:
“So here is what you’re going to need: an iPhone, a trusty case opener, a soldering iron, fine pitch wire, an unlock switch, and a Red Bull energy drink.
…Why the Red Bull, by the way? “This requires concentration, something I don’t have without Red Bull,” Hotz wrote.”

The iPhone story was huge breaking news that flashed around the planet as a leading international technology story. Along with that story, Red Bull received unexpected, free publicity. It was a terrific windfall for the product.
The Red Bull people should load up a full trailer truck with Red Bull and send it to Mr Hotz at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a freshman there - and perhaps, at least for the past few days, he is the most famous hacker in the world. And to the Red Bull people, he must be an advertising dream.
