Is there an uprising among YouTube users? The majority of YouTube users are not happy about the coming of advertising:

“YouTube might need to rethink their new InVideo advertising scheme, based on initial feedback Wednesday to the popular video-sharing Web site.

Most users responding to a YouTube blog post asking for feedback gave the idea a resounding thumbs down, and one even made a video to share his displeasure.”

The price tag for Google buying YouTube was $1.65 billion dollars. Even for a conglomerate like Google, that is a dollar figure that makes the accountants notice. Certainly, Google’s intention with the purchase was to generate a growing income stream - so the advertising should not be a surprise. How annoying the advertising is… well, that will be determined by the YouTube site visitors and their length of stay.
