In the past dog's have been honored for their deeds in combat and the compaionship that they have with the soldier's that tend them. But it is far and few, as well as in places that are hard to find. But I do think it is time that the Federal Government gave them some recognition in Washington D.C. And for dog's not really noticing, I think they are smart enough to realize when they are receiving extra attention. They may know care fro the monument, but when their owner's start to feel more pride in them after visiting such a monument, I think they can sense the change. They see things differently than we.
