The Xbox Warranty program is going to set Microsoft back with a charge of a billion dollars ( and perhaps more ). Now, there has been a class action lawsuit filed against Microsoft:
“Filed on Monday in the U.S. District court for the Southern District of Florida, the suit claims that Xbox 360s scratch game discs, making them unusable. Thousands of people have been affected by and have complained to Microsoft about the problem, the suit claims.”

Of course, Microsoft refutes the claim that the discs are damaged by the console. The claim in this suit is five million dollars ($5,000,000.00), repair of the Xbox 360 consoles and replacement of the discs. The filing of this suit in Florida may trigger similar litigation in other countries. Even to a big corporation the size of Microsoft, at some point, these unexpected expenses are going to start hurting.
