It starts “We the People“. Just the first three words are powerful and immediately identifies the document. It is a wonder that there was a confluence of social events, ideologies and brilliant people, at that one brief moment, to produce such a powerful document:
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

It’s a shame our government no longer seems to feel the need to abide by what the Constitution says. Hopefully more of us voters will open our eyes to what’s going on and change our voting habits as a result.
