Porn Spammers Found Guilty

The spammers earned millions from sending traffic to porn sites. They tried to evade the CAN-SPAM Act by using servers in Amsterdam:

“…”These men used a variety of tricks to try and hide their whereabouts from the US authorities, including logging-in remotely to servers based in Amsterdam to make their spam messages appear to be of non-US origin, and using bank accounts in Mauritius and the Isle of Man,” said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant for Sophos.”

The legislation calls for five years for each spam sent. In addition, there are obscenity charges as well as money laundering. - It would be nice if a very strong message is sent to spammers and these two only see prison snail mail for years and years.
