One thing that I learned from my first LAN party was that the participants have their own slang - most of which I had no clue as to what it meant. Mixed into the conversation were quotes from movies. That was something that gave me a slight clue to what was being discussed. Here is a random sample of movie quotes:

1. “It’s not the years, honey, it’s the mileage.”

2. “With great power comes great responsibility.”

3. “I always knew some day you’d come walking back through my door. I never doubted that. Something made it inevitable. So, what are you doing here in Nepal?”

4. “…the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”

5. “Always in motion is the future.”

6. “Shall I tell you what I find beautiful about you? You are at your very best when things are worst.”

7. “Do or do not, there is no try”

8. “Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room.”

9. “You can’t handle the truth!”

Well, you can add a tenth quote if you like - and/or post from which movies these quotes originate. If you have read this far, you probably know most of them - and you definitely have great LAN party potential.
