E-Mail:

Hit Man eMail

One of the current scams circulating is threatening email. This is a targeted threatening email, sent with the purpose of extorting money. An example is this email scam:

“According to the e-mail, the sender said he was given $150,000 to assassinate the Kingman man and would be given another $50,000 to complete the job. When the victim did not answer, a second e-mail was sent…”

The ploy is that, if you send funds, then the ‘hit’ would be canceled. If you receive threatening mail, you can report it at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) which works with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
