An Irresistible Target for Hackers

Thailand has had issue with YouTube showing less than complimentary clips about its king. There were times when Thailand blocked access to YouTube. Now it seems that Thailand will create its own web site, in praise of the king:

“BANGKOK, Thailand - Chronicles and pronouncements of Thailand’s king — the world’s longest-serving monarch and a godlike figure to many — will soon be trumpeted online.”

It is part of Thailand’s legislation that it is a criminal offense to criticize or to air negative public comments about the king. A long prison sentence could result from such reckless behaviour. Undoubtedly, this planned web site about the monarch is like an open invitation to hackers. The king’s web site will be an irresistible target for hackers to leave their ‘comment’.
