Linda Bartley (aka “Super Librarian”) Is a YouTube Star

Perhaps Marshall McLuhan did not envision YouTube and the internet when he coined the phrase “fifteen minutes of fame”. - Linda Bartley (aka “Super Librarian”) is a YouTube star - and, undoubtedly, a star among the librarian community:

“…Bartley agreed to pose as Super Librarian in a blue, red and yellow costume for an advertisement for McLib TV on cable. The ad was then uploaded to the video-sharing Web site YouTube.

“It’s rather unexpected,” Bartley said. “I don’t usually do things like that. I don’t even like to have my picture taken.”"

It certainly seems that Linda’s fame will exceed fifteen minutes. Perhaps, if Dr. McLuhan were alive today, he would say that ‘things on the internet have an infinite lifespan’ - but still “the medium is the message“.
