Justine Henin won the final match of the French Open quickly and decisively.

“PARIS — Justine Henin claimed her third consecutive French Open title and her fourth overall Saturday, taking advantage of 19-year-old Ana Ivanovic’s nervous play to win 6-1, 6-2.”

To win three consecutive French Open titles is remarkable. This adds to her total of four French titles. Justine Henin does not receive as much press coverage or advertising exposure as some other women tennis professionals. She just continues to focus on improving her tennis… and winning.

I believe she gets less press because she does not seek it. She is workman-like in her tennis, not flashy. She also seems to have no ‘higher aspirations’ like modeling or fashion design [I see this as a good thing].

She amazes me with what she does because of her speed and will to win. She is one of the smaller players on the tour, and yet manages to not get blasted off the court.

I would liken her to Ivan Lendl…he was good, from work, and not necessarily talent, but he produced results. He won’t be remembered as one of the greats because of his lack of flash.
