Your Dog Thinks Your Car Is Hot

  • No Related Post

It’s hot in your car! It’s hot in your truck! On a day when it is in the mid eighties Fahrenheit, the car interior temperature can climb to over a hundred degrees Fahrenheit in ten (10) minutes! Yes, that is TEN MINUTES! In thirty (30) minutes, the car temperature can be nearing one hundred and twenty degrees (120!) Fahrenheit! And it doesn’t matter if the windows are not rolled to the top.

A dog’s normal body temperature is 100.5 - 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Exposure to that high interior car temperature may cause heat stroke, brain damage … or death. Please be careful and, if you see a dog waiting in a car/truck on a warm day, do something … please!

conversions: 85 degrees Fahrenheit = 29.4 degrees Celsius
100 degrees Fahrenheit = 37.7 degrees Celsius
100.5 degrees Fahrenheit = 38.0 degrees Celsius
102.5 degrees Fahrenheit = 39.1 degrees Celsius
120 degrees Fahrenheit = 48.8 degrees Celsius
