Tweaking Firefox

In addition to security, one of the major benefits of Firefox is the ability of the user to makes changes. Firefox has numerous extensions that can be added. Serdar Yegulalp, in an article for ComputerWorld, goes through the some steps in tweaking the browser to meet your specific needs.

If you are new to Firefox, you should know that the changes can be undone, if it does not meet your needs. There is a caveat in the article about making backups. I will reinforce the suggestion to copy down all the changes that you have made, just in case you want to reverse the process. I will include a disclaimer at the end of this article.

What I have found is that, on my machine, Firefox is faster than Internet Explorer. Over the months, I have added extensions and adjustments to Firefox so that it makes my work much more efficient. Like most people who have tried Firefox or Opera, I now rarely use Internet Explorer.
