Cell Phones May Disable Car Keys

It seems that ‘intelligent keys’ and cell phones do not co-exist together nicely. Cell phones too close to these type of keys may disable the electronic code. Nissan was warned:
“Cellphones kept near Nissan’s I-Keys — wireless devices designed to allow drivers to enter and start their cars at the push of a button — can erase the electronic code on the keys, rendering them unable to unlock or start the cars.”

Nevertheless, your cell phone still works to call for a tow truck. Yes, I know… you’re thinking ‘tin foil’ again.
