The Houston Rockets fired Jeff Van Gundy. For this season, Van Gundy led the Rockets to a 52-30 record and a playoff spot. Unfortunately, Coach Van Gundy is fired.

Earlier in May, the Boston Celtics gave Doc Rivers a one year contract extension. For the season, Doc Rivers led the Boston Celtics to a 24-58 record and the second worst record in the league. Of course, the Boston Celtics were not close to a playoff spot. For that less-than-stellar performance, Doc Rivers still has a coaching job.

The obvious conclusion is… ‘I love this game!’
