Google and Your Phone Number

With your phone number in the Google Search bar, it is possible to find out your residential address. Google will pinpoint that further with a map - a Google map, of course. If this is somewhat disconcerting, it is possible to protect your privacy.

Google solves this problem with the Google Phonebook Name Removal. It is even possible to remove a business listing. Google cautions, however, that “this removal is permanent and that it’s not possible to add your phone number again in the future.”

Go. Reclaim back a tiny bit of your privacy.
