Google and Your Phone Number

With your phone number in the Google Search bar, it is possible to find out your residential address. Google will pinpoint that further with a map - a Google map, of course. If this is somewhat disconcerting, it is possible to protect your privacy.
Google solves this problem with the Google Phonebook Name Removal. It is even possible to remove a business listing. Google cautions, however, that “this removal is permanent and that it’s not possible to add your phone number again in the future.”
Go. Reclaim back a tiny bit of your privacy.

They also do not remove this information from other services that provide reverse lookups.
I am not on the Google search anymore, but I do show up on a few other ones that do not have a way to de-list from them.
