Now Contaminated Fish

First, it was reported that dogs and cats were receiving contaminated food. Then it was hogs. Then it was chickens - with some items entering into the human food chain. Now, Associated Press in Washington is reporting that farmed fish have been given contaminated feed:

“WASHINGTON - Farmed fish have been fed meal spiked with the same chemical that has been linked to the pet food recall, but the contamination was probably too low to harm anyone who ate the fish, federal officials said Tuesday.”

The FDA official stresses that the “level of contamination is expected to be too low to pose any danger to human health“. However, what about ingestion by the elderly, the sick, young children …? It’s frightening.
