Weapons at Utah Schools

It’s legal to carry a concealed weapon at Utah colleges. This is not a reaction to the tragedy at Virginia Tech. This is the state’s legislation. In 2004, “the Legislature passed a law expressly saying the university is covered by a state law that allows concealed weapons on state property. The university challenged the law, but the Utah Supreme Court upheld it last year.”

Is this a precedent that other states should follow?

At first I thought this might help, but after thinking about the odds of an individual student killing someone versus the small chance of something like the VT problem happening…this is ridiculous!
Anyone who thinks they need a gun at a college doesn’t need to be there.
