Australia has banned Snoop Dogg. He failed the character test. “”He doesn’t seem the sort of bloke we want in this country,” Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews told Sydney’s Macquarie Radio.”

It is somewhat ironic. Doesn’t Australia have a long history of dealing with convicts? I believe, for example, that Britain sent its convicts to Australia in the 1800s. Anyway, it would be interesting to see what Australia has as its ‘character test’.

Can’t say I’d want either of my children to ‘hang’ with this person. I would guess that most parents would feel this way. The fact that a population seems to agree is not that spectacular.
As for how Australia started out…how long must the sins of the fathers be visited upon the sons?

G’day,
Unlike some, Australians don’t tar the whole population of a country with the same brush. Just last week Australians stood side-by-side with Turks to mourn, and show respect for, the war dead from Gallipoli, from both sides of the conflict.
Australians Defence Forces are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan to assist as best they can in the war against terror. Australians pledged some $800+ million in aid to assist after the devastation caused by the Indian Ocean Tsunami on Boxing Day 2004. (US offered $350 mil.)
However, all that aside. Snoop Dogg is a foul-mouthed, disrespectful, arrogant pig. There are possibly people just as pathetic as him in Australia. They are Australia’s problem, but thankfully most Australians don’t adulate such behaviour. Perhaps Americans would like those Australians who would have him as an awards program host in exchange?
Sadly all countries have to deal with an undesirable rabble element. Some Australians are rightfully proud to be descended from ‘convict stock’. What’s your excuse?
