Contaminated Pet Food in South Africa

Associated Press is reporting contaminated dog food in South Africa. “Pet food laced with an industrial chemical traced to China has killed 30 dogs in South Africa, the country’s veterinary association said Friday, as recalls continued to expand in North America.

In South Africa, a range of dog and cat dry pet food products were recalled after they were found to contain corn gluten contaminated with melamine.”

I know that this recall of pet food has dragged on and on. However, I urge you to check the pet food that you are feeding and to check the home page of the manufacturer daily. Unfortunately, the list of recall products keeps expanding.

Just shows what a small planet it is getting to be.

It really is a shame that our dogs are subjected to such dangers. For me, making home made dog food is the only way to get for the last 2 years. I just don’t trust them anymore. Dana
