A data breach at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) has exposed the information of forty six thousand (46,000) students. The compromised security “included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, payroll and account information.”

The university has established a website and a hotline to help with security efforts to thwart identity theft.

UCSF seems to be proactive in trying to prevent further security issues resulting from this unauthorized access to their data server.

Hi Catherine,
At least USCF has the courtesy to setup a website and hotline to help those who may be having problems.
