Watching Every Move that Google Makes

It must be tough to be at the top of the heap. Every move is watched and every nuance is scrutinized. Google must be a bit paranoid at times. Look at how much attention its Valentine’s logo has generated:

“…So when the search engine giant put up a Valentine’s Day logo on Wednesday that seemed to read “Googe.com” — featuring a chocolate-covered strawberry for the “g” — bloggers thought it was just a bizarre bungling of the holiday Google “doodles” that decorate the site’s logo throughout the year. Or perhaps it was a quirky romance-laced joke?”

Is there a hidden meaning? What is the subtle message? Is this a hint that Marissa has a new product launch soon? - It seems that the days when something was just ‘plain ol’ fun’ are long gone.
