Toyota Extends Recall
Braking problems have forced Toyota to extend its recall. And the public relations nightmare grows.
Toyota has included the Prius and the Lexus in its recall:
“… The world’s largest automaker will update the antilock brake software on 133,000 2010 model year Prius hybrids and 14,500 Lexus HS250h models. Toyota acknowledged last week that the Prius had a problem with its antilock braking system that could cause the vehicle to surge momentarily after hitting a bump or pothole. The Japanese automaker had changed the software in production last month.”

Depending on one’s geographic location, the manufacturer may have less liability once a recall has been issued. In any case, what driver wouldn’t want to address this problem immediately?
