Apple Vice President Might Get Owned By Motorola

First IBM and HP, now this. It seems that the theft of “trade secrets” is the newest fashion. This time Michael Fenger, an ex-Motorola VP turned Apple Head, is in deep for not following his contract terms, which clearly stated that he could not be hired by a competitor of Motorola for at least 2 years. Well he broke em’ by joining Apple as Vice President of Global iPhone Sales when he left Motorola in March of this year.
Motorola is claiming that he has knowledge of very classified information, according to court documents:
”He was privy to the pricing, margins, customer initiatives, allocation of resources, product development, multiyear product, business and talent planning and strategies being used by Motorola.”
And for that, he will have to give up the Apple life for 2 years and toss up 1 million for additional stock-option violations.
I’ll give him props for at least joining a decent competitor (even though Motorola can’t compete with anyone), but choosing the best of the best won’t help. Motorola doesn’t even want to deal with Apple at all, but with Fenger and his lawyers. Feel free to leave comments!

He signed a contract which meant nothing to him, now the chickens are coming home to roost. He got what he deserves, good for Motorola- I say bury him and throw the key away. This younger generation thinks there are no boundaries.
Wait until they are in a pisition of power at a large company and some jerk pulls the same stunt- he will squeal like a stuck pig and deservedly so. What goes around comes around.
