Face it, trying to get an idea of how much new flooring is going to cost is greatly dependent on knowing how much of either product you will need! With this in mind, I am going to provide you with the following tips on measuring carpet and tile.
- Use a calculator. Not speaking of the kind sitting on your desk per se, rather one designed for resilient tile (vinyl flooring) or for carpet specifically.
- Get an early estimate. You might find that this is as big a hassle as you might think. Thanks to this little tool, you can enter the type of carpet you have ind mind and then get a general idea what the cost you are looking at might end up being. More often than not, finding a quicker alternative may be better for the short term.

And that’s it. The whole thing can be done easily, from the comfort of your home computer. Just remember that it is always best to double check all of those figures the old fashion way. Because you certainly would not want to put all your trust into an internet tool without being 100% sure about those numbers first. That could lead to a real mess and no one wants that.
