Fashionable Faux Wood Blinds Versus Affordable Mini Blinds? Part Two

Part one - Part two:

If you have a huge window-area, but prefer faux wood blinds, consider going with multiple blinds on one head-rail, this will also help with warping from unnecessary w8. For a more economical version of faux wood blinds, check out what your local home improvement store has in stock. In many cases they can cut the width to fit your window-area. But you’ll have to adjust the length. Now there is no need for alarm here, because if you’ve ever had to adjust 1″ mini blinds, then you’ll have no problem with the new window-treatment you just purchased. And as with anything else, the first one will be the hardest. After that, it’s a cake walk.

Now, if you don’t want to mess with that, just special order the blinds to be custom designed for your windows. You’ll have to wait a couple of weeks, but won’t have to do any of the adjusting yourself. It’ll make an easier installation. These blinds are nearly children/pet proof, but you’ll need to be careful if you have windows at a lower level as dogs can still prove to be a worthy adversary. In the situations such as this, raise the blinds before you leave the dogs alone in the house. Otherwise you’ll likely have an unpleasant mess when you get home.

In the end, regardless of which blinds you happen to chose, you really can’t go wrong when following the advise provided above. Just remember to consider your window-area size and whether you keep your blinds all the way raised or just tilted open and closed before purchasing them. This will help you prolong the life of your investment, while saving you plenty of heartache in the long run. Remember that everyone’s needs are different, so I would advise buying blinds that best match your lifestyle; including the lifestyle of any four legged residents that may frequent your home.
