How many of you reading this are happy about the prices we have to pay to watch our football teams?
Not very many i am thinking.
The prices are growing and are showing no signs of stopping, this is mainly because the owners of the leagues, and clubs are greedy, plus transfer fees for players are increasing as well, especially for english players.
Here are a few stats for you just to show how we compare to other countries.
Ticket to watch Chelsea at home =£60 - average season ticket =£650
AC Milan at there home =£18 - season ticket =£155
Real Madrid and Barcelona at there grounds =£30 - season ticket =£450
Now you know if you didn’t before how much we are paying over the top.
Due to these prices in our country we are seeing a lack in youthful football fans as they are being priced out of the games. Myself included i am a huge fan of liverpool fc but i have never seen them in action as it is too expensive for me to watch.
This is plain greedy and unnecessary as we are the wealthiest league and we have the highest attendances in the world of football. Dropping the prices by £10 will allow more people to enjoy the game we love myself included. The true football fans aren’t celebrities, they are real working class people like you and me, and if it wasn’t for us they would make no money at all, so why cant they do us a favour and lower the prices?
