If you cannot connect dual monitors, another great alternative is a virtual desktop application. If you are running Microsoft Windows you can download MSVDM in Microsoft power toys for free. It lets you have four desktops and have different programs and applications running in each. You can even have different wallpapers in each of the desktops. I use MSVDM and it could use a facelift, but it still gets the job done.
